privacy policy

Last updated: July 28, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains how Pur Path Project LLC, doing business as pur path project (“we,” “us,” “our”), collects, uses, and protects information when you use purpathproject.com (the “Site”). The Site sells laboratory research compounds on a strictly Research Use Only (RUO) basis. Products are not for human or veterinary use.

Information we collect

  • Account information: email address, password (stored hashed), and any name you provide.
  • Age & eligibility data: your date of birth and a 21+/research-use acknowledgment. To enforce our age and eligibility requirements, each time you verify your age (when you create an account and when you place an order) we record the date of birth you provide, the resulting age, your IP address, browser user-agent, and a timestamp, as a compliance record.
  • Device & usage data: IP address, browser/device type, pages viewed, and similar analytics, including approximate location (country/region) derived from your IP address. We use this approximate location only to estimate general region for analytics and to enforce geographic shipping and eligibility restrictions; we do not collect precise or GPS-based location.
  • Marketing attribution: where you arrived from (referrer and campaign/UTM parameters) and how you registered (email or Google), stored with your account.
  • Order & transaction data: items ordered, order totals, shipping address, and order history.
  • Payment information: processed by third-party payment processors. We do not store full payment-card numbers on our servers. Depending on the method you choose, we may process card, bank/ACH, or cryptocurrency payments through those processors.
  • Communications: messages you send us and your email-marketing preferences.

How we use information

  • To verify age and eligibility for a Research-Use-Only account and to maintain a compliance record of that verification.
  • To create and manage your account, process and fulfill orders, and provide customer support.
  • To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, chargebacks, and security incidents.
  • To send marketing emails; you can opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email.
  • To understand Site usage and improve the Site (analytics).
  • To understand how researchers find us, for example a referral link or campaign source recorded when you create an account, so we can direct our marketing spend efficiently and keep our pricing stable. We use this only for our own marketing analysis; we do not sell it, and it is never used to pay any third party.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms, including geographic shipping restrictions.

Use of artificial intelligence

We use third-party artificial intelligence tools to support routine administrative and operational business functions, including aspects of website development, customer communications, and marketing content such as email and social media. These tools assist our team in creating and managing content and day-to-day operations. We do not use artificial intelligence to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you, we do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your personal information to train third-party AI models. Any personal information involved remains protected under this Privacy Policy.

Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for several purposes: strictly necessary functions (login, cart, checkout, security, and remembering that you confirmed you are 21 or older); a first-touch attribution cookie to remember how you found us; analytics to understand how the Site is used; and, only with your consent, marketing and advertising technologies. You can accept or reject the non-essential categories using our consent banner and change your choice at any time through the consent-management link in the footer. The specific tools in each category are listed under “Tracking technologies and your consent choices” below. Where you have opted in to text or email marketing, our marketing platform also uses cookies to track the items in your cart, including when a cart is abandoned, so we can send cart-reminder messages. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.

How we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Site, including hosting, payment processing, email and SMS delivery, analytics and advertising measurement, and shipping/carrier partners, and only as needed to perform those services; with professional advisors; or when required by law. We do not sell your personal information for money. Our use of advertising and analytics technologies is described under “Data Sharing” and “Tracking technologies and your consent choices” below.

Data Sharing

  • We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not give third parties your contact details (such as your email address or phone number) for their own marketing. With your consent, we do use advertising and analytics technologies (such as the Meta/Facebook Pixel and Conversions API and, where enabled, TikTok and Google Analytics) that receive limited, de-identified information about your activity on the Site for advertising measurement and, where applicable, to show you relevant ads. Under California law this may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. The information these tools receive never includes the specific research compound or product you viewed or purchased, and you can opt out at any time using the consent banner or the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer.
  • We will not share your text-message opt-in or consent status with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing the messaging service. We may share this data with vendors who help us deliver text messages, including messaging-platform providers and phone carriers. This applies to any information sharing described elsewhere in this policy.

Data retention

We keep account and order information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Age-verification records (date of birth, age, IP, timestamp) are retained as a compliance record for the period required by applicable law and our payment and regulatory obligations.

Your choices & rights

  • Marketing: opt out of marketing emails anytime via the unsubscribe link in any email; opt out of marketing texts anytime by replying STOP to any message.
  • California (CCPA/CPRA) and similar rights: you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may opt out of any “sale” or “sharing”, though we do not sell personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
  • To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity.

Social media

If you mention or tag us on social platforms, we may view your public posts and respond to you through that platform’s messaging, including occasional discretionary offers, in accordance with that platform’s rules. We do not receive your email address from social platforms.

Tracking technologies and your consent choices

We use the following technologies on this site, grouped by the consent category they belong to:

  • Strictly necessary (always on): cookies required for the shopping cart, checkout, account, and security (WooCommerce), and a record that you confirmed you are 21 or older.
  • Analytics (only with your consent): Google Analytics (GA4) and PostHog, which help us understand how the Site is used and fix problems. PostHog may record a replay of your on-site session for troubleshooting; input fields are masked, and we do not record sessions on checkout, account, or certificate-of-analysis pages. These set analytics cookies (for example, _ga).
  • Marketing and advertising (only with your consent): the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel and Conversions API and, where enabled, the TikTok pixel, used for advertising measurement and relevant ads; and our email/SMS marketing platform (Klaviyo). These set marketing cookies (for example, _fbp). We run these in a minimized, limited-data mode and never send the specific research compound or product you viewed or purchased.
  • Social sign-in providers load only if you choose to sign in with them.

A consent banner lets you accept or reject the non-essential categories, and you can change your choice at any time using the consent-management link in the footer.

We honor browser-based opt-out preferences, including Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track, where applicable.

California residents. You may opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information (as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA) using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer. We do not sell your personal information for money. You also retain the rights to access, correct, and delete your personal information described elsewhere in this policy.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Age requirement

The Site is intended only for individuals 21 years of age or older purchasing for laboratory/research purposes. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21.

  1. Our messaging programs include: (a) conversational support messages to answer questions and provide customer support, operated using Grasshopper; and (b) marketing and transactional messages, such as order and shipping updates, shopping-cart reminders, and occasional offers, operated using our marketing platform, Klaviyo. We collect your mobile number only when you provide it and opt in to receive texts (for example at checkout, through a sign-up form, or by texting a keyword), and we use it only to send the messages described here. We do not sell your mobile number or your messaging consent. After you send the SMS message ‘STOP’ to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
  4. If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or you can get help directly at [email protected].
  5. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
