This Refund Policy describes how pur path project handles cancellations, returns, refunds, and replacements. Please read it carefully before placing an order. By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept this Refund Policy, which is incorporated into our Terms and Conditions by reference.
1. Store Credit Only
Because research-grade chemical materials cannot be safely returned to inventory once they leave our possession — their identity, integrity, sterility, and stability cannot be verified after they have been in customer custody — all approved refunds are issued as store credit only.
We do not issue cash, credit-card, debit-card, or ACH refunds. Store credit is delivered as a unique coupon code by email and is redeemable on any future order at pur path project. Store credit does not expire.
This protects every researcher who buys from us and keeps our compliance and traceability framework intact. By placing an order you agree that store credit is your sole monetary remedy except where applicable law requires otherwise.
2. Acknowledgment Required
At checkout, you affirm that you have read and accept this Refund Policy before payment is submitted. This acknowledgment is recorded with your order for compliance and dispute-resolution purposes.
3. Order Modifications and Cancellations
3.1 Modifications
Once an order is submitted, no changes can be made — including items, quantities, shipping address, billing address, payment method, or coupon/discount application. If a change is required, the order must be canceled prior to fulfillment (where eligible) and a new order placed.
3.2 Cancellations
- Cancellations are accepted only before fulfillment has commenced. Fulfillment typically begins shortly after order placement during business hours.
- To request a cancellation, email [email protected] with the subject line “URGENT CANCELLATION — Order #[your order number]” as soon as possible after placing the order.
- If a cancellation is received before fulfillment has commenced, the full order amount is credited as store credit, redeemable on any future order.
- Once fulfillment has commenced, the order is final and cannot be canceled.
- We do not process cancellation requests by phone, social media, or text.
4. Returns
Returns are accepted only for products that remain unused, unopened, and factory-sealed, and only when initiated within fourteen (14) days of the original purchase date.
- To start a return, email [email protected] with your order number before sending anything back.
- Approved returns are issued store credit only, applied once the returned items are received and inspected by our facility.
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable, and a 10% administrative fee is deducted from the credit to cover payment-processing and restocking costs.
- We reserve the right to refuse any return where the integrity of the product cannot be verified or where evidence of tampering exists.
5. Damage in Transit
If a product is damaged during shipping, we will provide a replacement shipment or store credit at our discretion, subject to the conditions below.
5.1 Qualifying Damage
- The damage is visible immediately upon delivery;
- The damage was caused by transit (impact, crushing, temperature exposure, etc.) and not by buyer handling; and
- The damage affects the integrity of the product itself (broken vial, leaked contents, ruptured packaging) — cosmetic damage to the outer packaging alone does not qualify.
5.2 Required Reporting
To request a remedy, within seven (7) calendar days of delivery email [email protected] with the subject line “Damage Claim — Order #[your order number]” and include high-resolution photos of: the exterior shipping package (showing damage and the shipping label), the packing slip, and the damaged product(s) in original arrival state. Do not discard packaging or product, and do not reconstitute or use the damaged product, until the claim is resolved. Claims submitted after the 7-day window will not be honored.
6. Package Protection (Recommended)
For broader coverage against lost, stolen, or damaged packages, optional Package Protection is available at checkout. It is administered by a third-party service and covers confirmed lost packages (tracking shows non-delivery), confirmed stolen packages (delivered but missing, with a police report number), and packages damaged in transit (with photo documentation). It does not cover buyer’s remorse, reconstitution/research errors, damage occurring after delivery, or an inaccurate shipping address. Coverage rules and claims are governed by the provider’s terms and are separate from this Refund Policy. Without Package Protection, lost or stolen packages are not eligible for remedy, as title and risk of loss pass to the buyer upon delivery to the carrier.
7. Quality Assurance and Replacements
We test every batch through independent third-party laboratories and provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA) per lot. If you believe a product fails to match its COA, contact [email protected] within seven (7) days of delivery with your order number, a description of the discrepancy, and any testing you have performed. Confirmed batch issues are addressed at our discretion, typically by replacement.
Replacements for reconstituted product are subject to strict quality-control verification and are honored only when the researcher used bacteriostatic water or reconstitution solution supplied by pur path project (or Hospira). Use of any other solvent voids this guarantee.
8. Research Outcomes
We do not offer any remedy based on subjective research results, experimental outcomes, or perceived efficacy. Research outcomes are influenced by protocol design, sample preparation, methodology, equipment, environment, and many factors outside our control. A COA documents what the material was at the time of testing; it does not guarantee any particular outcome in any particular application.
9. Chargebacks
If you have an issue with an order, contact [email protected] before initiating a payment dispute with your bank or card issuer. We will work in good faith within this Refund Policy to resolve any genuine concern.
Chargebacks filed without first attempting resolution with us, or filed in violation of this Refund Policy, will be disputed with full documentation, including order details, your acknowledgment of this Refund Policy at checkout, delivery confirmation, and all correspondence. Chargebacks filed in violation of these terms may result in immediate account termination, forfeiture of pending orders, reporting to fraud-prevention services and merchant industry databases (including MATCH), and restriction from future orders.
10. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays or non-delivery caused by events outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, government action, carrier strikes, or supply-chain interruptions.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy at any time. The “Last Updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. The Refund Policy in effect at the time you placed your order governs that order.
